"We must continue to create, to lead, to persevere in our efforts to make our orchestra an even greater asset in the community ... Spread enthusiasm in an epidemic (sic) of symphonic music in Kitchener-Waterloo." Mabel Krug, KWSVC Founder
The Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Volunteer Committee is an independent charitable organization dedicated to both fundraising and fundsaving activities in support of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. It has an annually elected Board of Directors.
In “normal” times (whatever they may be), our activities encompass two major fundraisers, a Showcase Gift Boutique, and numerous administrative tasks from stuffing concert programs to driving visiting artists from the airport and around town, and supporting the Orchestra’s Schools Concerts Program.
The KWSVC also gives numerous awards every year to members of the KWS Youth Orchestra Program through the KWSVC Youth Orchestra Program Scholarships funds.
